A spokesman for the Health Bureau today (November 16) said that a secretary has tested positive for COVID-19 through a rapid antigen test.

The secretary is responsible for secretarial duties for the Secretary for Health, Professor Lo Chung-mau. She does not need to have contact with the public and has no recent travel history. She wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. She last performed duties on November 11, which was also the day she last met with Professor Lo.

Professor Lo takes professional swab sampling COVID-19 nucleic acid tests regularly, and the result from the test taken today is negative. Meanwhile, he has also been taking COVID-19 rapid antigen tests every day, and the results have all been negative.

The Health Bureau has conducted thorough cleaning and sterilisation operations at the workplace concerned, and relevant staff members will continue to undergo COVID-19 rapid antigen testing on a daily basis.
